Disadvantages and Advantages of Cold Drawn Pipe
Date:2019-05-21      View(s):1093      Tag:Disadvantages and Advantages of Cold Drawn Pipe
Cold-drawn steel pipes are generally divided into low and medium pressure boiler pipes, high pressure boiler pipes, steel pipes, stainless steel pipes, oil crack pipes, other steel pipes, as well as thin-walled carbon steel, thin-walled alloy steel, thin-walled stainless steel, special steel pipes.

Cold drawing refers to cold drawing at room temperature, cold drawing, cold drawing, such as cold steel or steel processed into various types of steel. (Including conical and elliptical tubes, etc. which are manufactured by this method)

The advantages of cold-drawn steel pipe are fast forming speed, high output, no damage to coating, and it can meet the needs of service conditions in the form of cutting brittleness of various sections. Cold drawing can cause large plastic deformation of steel, thus increasing the yield point of steel.

Defects of cold-drawn steel pipe:
1. Although there is no thermoplastic compression in the forming process, there are still residual stresses in the overall cross section, and the local buckling characteristics of steel inevitably have an impact.
Cold-formed steel is usually formed with open section, so the torsional stiffness of free section is low. When the pressure is prone to twist, bending and torsion, the pressure is prone to twist and the torsion performance is poor.
3. The wall thickness of cold-rolled steel sheet is smaller in the corner of the interface plate, but not thicker, so as to resist local weakening.
