Resistance butt welding
Date:2019-04-30      View(s):1220      Tag:Resistance butt welding
According to the working principle of butt welding machine, butt welding technology can be divided into resistance butt welding and flash butt welding.
Resistance butt welding: refers to the end of the steel bar heated to the plastic state, cut off the power supply, and then heated to achieve plastic connection. This welding process is easy to produce oxide and slag inclusions in the joint, and requires smooth cross section of steel bar, high power consumption and high power in the welding process. Welding machines are very demanding, so they are seldom used.

Flash butt welding: This means that during the welding process, molten metal particles are ejected from the end joints of the reinforcing bars to present sparks (flash). At the same time of spraying molten metal, oxide and slag are also taken out to make butt welding joint of good quality, so it is widely used, especially for the joints of low carbon steel and low carbon steel. Alloy steel.

The following points should be noted during operation:

1. Select the equipment with the corresponding capacity according to the technical requirements. Air switch, main line, secondary cable, equipment and control box should be connected to ground line.
2. Check whether the equipment is in good condition, whether the timer is accurate, whether the control button is valid, and whether the mechanical transmission parts are flexible.
3. Wear safety protective equipment such as goggles, gloves, insulating shoes and overalls during operation.
4. When clamping, be sure to tighten the clamp to avoid loosening, falling, mechanical damage and personal accidents.
5. Be careful to place asbestos pads under flux tanks to avoid scalds and scalds.
6. In the process of operation, when moving the nose, be careful not to damage the main and auxiliary lines, in order to avoid electric shock and shock.
7. Operators should wear goggles and hats during flash welding to prevent arc stimulating eyes and melting metal to burn skin.
8. After welding, remove metal spatter from the clamp and surrounding area.  Always keep the machine clean.
9. All parts of the machine should be filled with lubricant.
10. AC contactors and relays should be kept clean and electrical contacts should be polished with fine sandpaper every other month.
