1. Corrosion resistance. Polyethylene is an inert material, which can withstand the erosion of various chemical media besides a few strong oxidants.
2. No leakage. Polyethylene pipes are welded joints (hot melt joints or fusion joints) to ensure the nature of the interface materials, structure and management body itself, and to achieve the integration of joints and pipes. The test results show that the tensile strength and fracture strength of the interface are higher than those of the tube, which can effectively resist the tension and compression stress and the axial pressure.
3. High toughness. Polyethylene pipe is a kind of pipe with high toughness. Its elongation at break is generally 500% higher than that at break. The uneven settlement ability of the pipe is very strong. It is an excellent seismic performance of pipeline.
4. Excellent flexibility. Polyethylene flexible polyethylene pipes can be coiled, the longer supply does not need any rivals of connecting pipes, and easy to process according to the requirements of construction changes, and prefabricated pipes also have changed shape, insert old pipes to restore the original size and size.
5. It has good scratch resistance. The results show that PE80 grade PE pipe has better SCG resistance and scratch resistance. PE100 polyethylene pipe material has better scratch resistance.
6. Good resistance to rapid crack propagation. Polyethylene has excellent resistance to rapid crack transfer. The lower the temperature, the bigger the diameter and wall thickness, and the higher the working pressure, the greater the risk of rapid cracking of plastic pipes. Polyethylene pipes, especially PE100 pipes, are more suitable for large caliber pipes. At present, standard polyethylene gas tubes (IS04437-1997 and EN1555) have the ability to resist rapid crack propagation (RCP).
7. Long service life. It can be used for more than 50 years under the condition of < 60 C.
