Difference between Stainless Steel Thick-walled Seamless Tube and Carbon Seamless Steel Tube
Date:2019-06-20      View(s):989      Tag:Difference between Stainless Steel Thick-walled Seamless Tube and Carbon Seamless Steel Tube
The difference between stainless steel thick-walled seamless pipe and carbon seamless pipe mainly refers to the difference in design rules between stainless steel and carbon steel, that is, the design rules of these two steels are not common. These differences can be summarized as follows: stainless steel design rules cannot be applied to carbon steel, because there are three basic differences between stainless steel and carbon steel.

First, the cold working of stainless steel hardens the work, such as bending anisotropy, i.e. the horizontal and vertical properties are different. The strength increased by cold working can be used, but if the bending area is less than the total area and the increase can be neglected, the strength increase can increase the safety factor to a certain extent. Under these circumstances,

Secondly, the elastic limit of stainless steel is about 50% of the yield stress in the stress/strain curves of different shapes, and the minimum value specified in the standard is lower than the yield value of carbon steel. Under these circumstances,

Thirdly, there is no yield point for stainless steel, which is usually expressed as 0.2. The yield stress is considered to be equivalent.
