AWWA C200 steel pipe is widely used in the following fields/industries:

AWWA C200 standard includes 6 inches (150 mm) or larger butt welded, straight or spiral seam steel pipes for conveying and distributing water, including pipe manufacturing, welding operation requirements, allowable weight changes and sizes, end preparation, special manufacturing, inspection and testing procedures.

Buyers may inspect all work and materials provided in accordance with this Standard, but such inspections shall not exempt manufacturers from their responsibility to provide and perform work in accordance with this Standard.


QA
Manufacturers should maintain quality assurance plans to ensure that minimum standards are met. It should include a certified welding inspector (AWS QC1) to verify that welders and welding procedures are qualified, that procedures are being followed and testing is restricted, and that quality assurance functions are being implemented.
