Billets are products obtained by casting molten steel produced by steelmaking furnaces. Billets can be divided into two types from the manufacturing process: die casting and continuous casting billets. The current casting process has been basically eliminated.


Continuous casting billet and rectangular billet are mainly represented by carbon steel, low carbon and low silicon cold-rolled material, high quality carbon structural steel, low alloy high strength steel and special steel.


The slab production process is as follows:
Firstly, through the steel casting system of continuous casting equipment, the molten steel directly enters the billet.
Secondly, steelmaking system is used to produce ingots or continuous casting seams, and semi-finished products are produced through rolling system of steel processing equipment.
Third, the ingot steel production system processes semi-finished products through forging equipment.
