3. Providing high-quality steel for raw materials
The raw material of large straight seam welded pipe mill is mainly steel plate produced by medium and heavy plate mill (except for less than 600 mm steel plate can be produced by hot rolled plate), which requires the supply of high quality steel plate. Petroleum and natural gas pipelines need higher performance in terms of high strength, toughness, weldability, H2S corrosion resistance and so on. Low carbon microalloys are generally used to control rolling plate.
