Fire protection of seamless pipe

Seamless steel tube usually loses its bearing capacity and undergoes great deformation at 450-650 C, which results in the bending of steel columns and beams. As a result, they cannot continue to be used because of excessive deformation. Usually, the fire resistance of unprotected seamless tubes is about 15 minutes. The time length is also related to the thermal absorption of the module.  Here are several different fire prevention measures for seamless pipelines.


1. Outer layer. It adds the appearance of seamless pipe cladding, which can be cast or sprayed. Cast-in-place solid concrete cover is usually reinforced with steel mesh or steel reinforcement to limit shrinkage cracks and ensure the strength of the shell. Spraying can be applied to the surface of seamless pipe in construction site. Sand pump can be used to form protective layer. Sand pump can be used with lime cement or gypsum mortar, or can be mixed with perlite or asbestos. At the same time, the outer layer can also be made of perlite, asbestos, gypsum or asbestos cement, light concrete prefabricated board, using adhesives, nails, bolts fixed on the seamless pipe.


2. Water. The hollow seamless pipe filled with water is the most effective fire protection measure. This method can make the seamless tube keep low temperature in the fire, circulate water in the seamless tube, and absorb the heat of the material itself. Heated water can be recycled after cooling, or cold water can be introduced into pipes to replace heated water.


3. Shielding. Seamless pipes are installed on the refractory walls or ceilings, or the components in the two walls are hidden in the gap, as long as a little refractory material is added or the fire prevention purpose is not achieved. This is one of the most economical fire protection methods.


4. Expansion materials. Seamless pipe fire-proof coating components are used. This method has good fire-proof and heat insulation. Geometric constraints such as seamless pipe are applied. Generally, auxiliary facilities are not needed. Moreover, the coating is light in weight and has some beautiful decoration. The role of modern advanced fire safety technology and measures.


At present, the construction of high-rise seamless pipe is increasing, especially in some super high-rise buildings, seamless pipe materials are more widely used. If there is a fire accident in a high-rise building, the fire can not be extinguished in a short time. This requires us to increase the fire protection of building materials in building design to increase their fire resistance limit, and to formulate the necessary emergency plan to reduce casualties and property losses.
