Spiral submerged arc welding (SSAW) steel pipe is the full name of steel pipe. The steel strip enters the welded pipe unit, rolls up gradually and forms a circular pipe with open gap. The reduction extrusion roll is adjusted to control the gap between the weld seams at 1-3 mm and make both ends of the weld seam level. Spiral welded pipes are formed by spiral forming of internal and external submerged arc welding forming materials, thus producing spiral welded pipes of different specifications.
Spiral submerged arc welding (SSAW) steel pipe has many advantages over other welded pipes:
(1) There are two overlapping spiral welds inside and outside the pipeline, which can increase the stiffness and the bearing pressure.
(2) Submerged arc welding technology has good slag control effect. Therefore, it has good impact toughness and low temperature performance.
(C) Steel strips of the same width can produce steels of different diameters and lengths with good straightness. Easy to adjust, precise size, no need for sizing and straightening after welding
