At present, seamless steel tube technology is constantly reformed. At present, seamless steel tube has strong technical strength and light weight, but its hardness is relatively large, and all its properties are better, because cold extrusion technology is used to manufacture seamless steel tube in cold conditions. It has become a bright spot. What are the main features of this technology?


1. Precise dimension and smoothness of parts: At present, the general dimension accuracy of cold extruded parts developed in our country can reach 8-9 grades. If the ideal lubrication method is adopted, the precision of cold extrusion is second only to that of polished surface. Therefore, parts produced by cold extrusion usually do not need to be reprocessed, and only a small number of parts need to be finished (grinded).


2. Save raw materials: The utilization rate of cold extrusion materials can usually reach more than 80%. For example, the utilization rate of material for cutting piston of Jiefang Brand automobile is 43.3%, while that for cold extrusion is increased to 92%. If the universal joint bearing sleeve is changed to cold extrusion, the utilization rate of material will start from the past. 27.8% to 64%. It can be seen that the use of cold extrusion to produce mechanical parts can save a lot of steel and non-ferrous metal materials.


3. High productivity: The efficiency of cold extrusion production of mechanical parts is very high, especially for parts with large production capacity, cold extrusion production can be several times, several times or even several hundred times of cutting production. For example, the automobile piston pin is 3.2 times cooler than the cutting process. At present, cold extrusion piston pin automata are used to further improve productivity. The productivity of cold extrusion automata is equivalent to that of 100 ordinary lathes or 10 four-axle automatic lathes.


4. Machinable parts with complex shapes, such as profiled cross section, inner teeth, profiled holes and blind holes. These parts are difficult to be processed by other methods, but they are very convenient in cold extrusion.
