The large diameter cold-drawn seamless steel tube is a tube with an outer diameter of 1000 mm or larger. Seamless steel tube is made by stamping ingot or solid billet, then hot rolling, cold rolling or cold drawing. The large diameter thick-walled steel tubes we purchased are long or short. If it is very short, it can be welded. If it's too long, the extra parts must be removed. That is to say, the length is suitable for the construction of steel pipe.


There are many ways to cut large diameter cold-drawn seamless steel tubes.  There are three common large diameter cutting methods.


1. Use a sawing machine. The sawing machine is characterized by convenient cutting and structural welding. The disadvantage is that the efficiency is too low, that is, too slow.


2. Artificial gas cutting. This function is fast and efficient. The disadvantage is that the surface of the incision is serrated, which hinders the structure.


3. Use pipe self-propelled automatic cutting machine. Pipeline self-propelled automatic cutting machine is characterized by low cost and smooth cutting. There is little difference between large-caliber cold-drawn seamless steel pipe cut with pipe self-propelled automatic cutting machine and sawing machine.
