Welding of high frequency welded pipe is a new welding process, which uses skin effect and adjacent effect produced by high frequency current to connect steel plate with other metal materials.
The emergence and maturity of high frequency welding technology has directly promoted the tremendous development of longitudinal welded pipe industry. This is the key technology to produce straight welded pipe.
The quality of high frequency welding directly affects the overall strength, quality grade and production speed of welded pipe products. High frequency welded pipe generally refers to high frequency straight seam resistance welded steel pipe (ERW). After forming hot rolled coil by forming machine, skin effect and proximity effect of high frequency current are used to heat and melt the edge of tube blank under the action of extrusion roll. Pressure welding is used to realize production.
The welding process of high frequency resistance welded pipe is different from that of common welded pipe. The weld is formed by melting the base material of the steel strip, and its mechanical strength is better than that of the ordinary welded pipe.
High frequency welded pipe has smooth appearance, high precision, low cost and low weld height, which is conducive to the coating of 3PE anticorrosive coating. There are significant differences in welding methods between high frequency welded pipe and submerged arc welded pipe. It is difficult to ensure that the welding quality is much higher than that of submerged arc welding because the welding is completed in a high speed instant.
