Ultrasound inspection, X-ray inspection and film inspection are commonly used in non-destructive testing of ultrasonic welding of straight welded pipe. There are one-sided and two-sided, two-sided and one-sided and one-sided flaw detection. When choosing flaw detection method, the thickness of longitudinal welded pipe and the width of weld are determined. Thick and wide welds are suitable for single-sided and double-sided flaw detection or double-sided and double-sided flaw detection.
Execution Standard for Vertical Welded Pipe Inspection:
GB11345-89, GB/T11345-2013 non-destructive testing, primary and secondary inspection, three-level inspection of low-requirement structural pipelines.
The welded steel pipe shall be tested for mechanical properties, flattening and torch after completion of the finished product. Pressure tests also need to be carried out on 2.5 Mpa steel pipes and must be maintained for one minute without leakage. Eddy current testing can be used instead of hydraulic testing. Eddy current inspection is to fix the probe on the frame, keep the distance between the inspection and the weld in the range of 3-5 mm, and scan the weld through the rapid movement of the steel pipe.
