BS1387 standard hot-dip galvanized steel pipe is a kind of hot-dip galvanized steel pipe. It is formed by bending strip or coil into spiral shape and automatically welding internal and external joints by double-sided submerged arc welding. It can be widely used for the following reasons. For the production of water, electricity, chemical industry, etc.
1) As long as the forming angle is changed, steel pipes of the same width can be used to produce steel pipes of various calibers, which are easy to adjust.
2) Because of the continuous bending, the length of the helical tube is not limited, and the length can be determined at will.
3) Weld spirals are evenly distributed around the whole spiral pipe, so the spiral pipe has high dimensional accuracy and strength.
4) Easy to change size, suitable for small batch and multi-variety spiral tube production. The weld length of hot dip galvanized steel pipe is longer than that of straight pipe with the same specification, and the pressure of hot dip galvanized steel pipe with the same specification wall thickness. The weld defect of hot dip galvanized steel pipe is "inclined defect". In the process of using, the main stress direction of the steel pipe, that is, the length of the equivalent defects in the axial direction of the steel pipe is less than the length of the straight seam pipe; secondly, because the pipeline steel is rolled steel plate, the impact toughness has great anisotropy, and the rolling is smooth. The CVN value in the direction of rolling can be three times as high as that in the direction of rolling.
