What is seamless steel pipe?

Seamless steel pipe is a circular pipe with hollow section and no joint around it. Seamless steel pipes are made of carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel ingots or solid billets, which are then hot-rolled, cold-rolled or cold-drawn. Seamless pipes are considered superior to welded pipes because they are made of integral billets with inherent mechanical strength and no seam welding.

Characteristics of Seamless Steel Pipe

Seamless steel pipe is widely used in engineering and construction. It is a kind of seamless hollow steel strip. It is mainly used for conveying liquid pipeline, different appearance and common steel. One kind of heavy steel has strong resistance, corrosion resistance and general corrosion resistance.

It does not rust. This property extends the service life of seamless steel tubes. Most importantly, it is very clean and free of toxins.

Compared with other plastic seamless steel pipes with strong mechanical resistance, no matter how high the temperature is, seamless steel pipes can replace other piping water and other liquids when installed as other pipes.

The characteristics of seamless steel tube are as follows:

High precision can be used in small batch production.

The diameter is smaller.

Strong weldability and compression ability.

Steel pipe has superior performance and dense metal.

The steel cross-section is more complex.

High precision cold-drawn products, good surface quality.

Classification of Seamless Steel Tubes

According to the manufacturing process, seamless steel pipe can be divided into hot-rolled seamless steel pipe and cold-drawn seamless steel pipe. Cold-drawn pipes are also divided into round pipes and special-shaped pipes.

Hot rolled seamless steel pipe:

Compared with cold rolling, cold rolling is lower than the recrystallization temperature of rolling, and hot rolling is carried out at higher recrystallization temperature than rolling.
