Steel pile
Date:2019-08-20      View(s):1319      Tag:Steel pile
The steel pile is composed of steel pipe, mortise groove and mortise groove pin. The left pipe wall of the pipe diameter is vertically connected to the mortise groove, and the cross section of the groove is a square with one side opening. On one side of the groove, the reinforcing rib is vertically connected with the right pipe wall of the pipe diameter and the mortise groove pin of the part of the radius position. The groove of the mortise pin is based on the I-shaped pile.

Characteristics of Steel Piles
(1) Light weight, good rigidity, convenient loading and unloading, convenient transportation and stacking, not easy to damage;
(2) High bearing capacity. Because of the high strength of steel, it can penetrate into the hard soil effectively, the pile body is not easy to be damaged, and the bearing capacity of single pile can be greatly improved.
(3) Pile length is easy to adjust. The length of piles can be adjusted by lengthening or cutting as needed.
(4) The amount of soil dumped is small, and the influence on adjacent buildings is small. The lower end of the pile is open. When the pile is pushed in, the soil is squeezed into the pile tube, which reduces the amount of soil compared with the actual pile. The disturbance to the surrounding foundation is also very small, which can avoid soil uplift. The vertical displacement of the first pile is avoided. The horizontal displacement of pile top can also be greatly reduced.
(5) Connector connection is simple. It is easy to operate and has high strength. It can be used safely by welding.
(6) The quality of the project is reliable and the construction speed is fast.  However, steel piles also contain a large amount of steel, and the construction cost is high. Piling equipment is complex, vibration and noise are large. Pile material protection and corrosion are poor. Sufficient technical and economic analysis and comparison should be made when selecting.

Steel Pile Construction
Steel pipes are generally made of ordinary carbon steel, with tensile strength of 402 MPa and yield strength of 235.2 MPa, or selected according to design requirements. According to the processing technology, there are two kinds of spiral seam steel pipe and straight seam steel pipe. Because of the high rigidity of spiral seam steel tube, it has been more applied in engineering. In order to facilitate transportation and be limited by the height of the pile frame, steel piles are usually composed of upper piles, lower piles and several intermediate piles. The length of each part is generally 13 meters or 15 meters.

The lower end of the steel pile has an opening and a closed mouth. The diameter and wall thickness of steel piles are 406.4-2032.0 mm and 6-25 mm respectively.  The specifications and performances of common steel piles are shown in Table 7-92. They should be based on engineering geology, load, foundation, upper load and construction conditions. After comprehensive consideration, choose. In our country, the commonly used ones are 406.4 mm, 609.6 mm and 914.4 mm, with wall thickness of 10, 11, 12.7 and 13 mm, respectively. Usually, the upper, middle and lower piles use the same wall thickness. Sometimes, in order to make the top of the pile withstand tremendous hammering stress and prevent radial instability, the wall thickness of the upper pile can be increased appropriately, or the top of the pile can be welded with a width of 200-300 mm and a thickness of 6-12 mm. The outer ring of the pile pipe. Flat steel reinforcement hoop. In order to reduce the friction resistance of pile tube sinking and prevent the end from being damaged by deformation when entering hard soil layer, there is a reinforcing ring at the lower end of reinforced pile. The height of the steel tube is -300 mm, ranging from 200_406.4 mm to 914.4 mm. The thickness is 6-12 mm.
