Bending Deformation Analysis of Steel Pipe
Deformation caused by hot working principle is known. Due to the uneven heating temperature, plastic deformation in high temperature zone produces compression, and the cooling shrinkage part is also blocked by other parts (low temperature cooling zone or the first part), resulting in residual stress and various modifications. The hot-worked steel market for steel pipes (pipes or thermal expansion) is mainly used for bending.
For smaller diameter and thicker wall, mechanical calibration method (such as rolling machine, Jack and corresponding fixture) can be used to calibrate the pipe. The method is simple. However, when the wall of large diameter pipeline is relatively thin, mechanical correction method should not be used, because it not only requires large and complex mechanical fixtures, but also easily causes local depression of steel. Flame straightening method is used. Although the operation is difficult, the method is simple and the effect is good.
